Plan to pilot Concierge Role at BELTA Community Centre

Trial planned to start this September

Hello everyone!

BELTA hopes to trial a new concierge role from September. Concierge is a French term for a resident caretaker whose job is to welcome people into the space they look after. Our new concierge will support residents using the ever growing and improving facilities at BELTA

Community Centre.

The role will begin with the opening of the Community Centre on weekends. Which means, we might be able to run the often requested, all day breakfast club - a very popular request that BELTA hopes to provide on a regular basis. With the cost of living crisis, this will be a way for people to enjoy a tasty fry up and a way to get together and socialise on a weekend.

BELTA would like to use this opportunity to invite people to get involved! Community works best when the community looks after each other. Volunteering goes a long way into doing this, be it through helping out run events and services, being involved in planning ideas for the Estate, enjoying the community allotment, or even sitting and socialising with people who have been isolated and lonely.

And if you’d like to be more involved on a regular basis, please consider becoming a Trustee. You can be involved as much or as little as you want or projects that interest you, with the only obligation being attending a bi-monthly meeting. If you’d like to find out more about volunteering or becoming a Trustee, please get in touch!
