Fix up, Green up. Plant a Tree!

Bristol Estate resident, Mala is working with the plantyourpostcode initiative to coordinate the planting of trees and plants across our estate.

Plantyourpostcode work with Brighton & Hove City Council and in line with the Council's emerging Tree Strategy, aim to plant new trees and replace old or dying ones to increase tree cover across the whole of the Greater Brighton area.

Trees improve our own health and wellbeing and provide a more pleasant living environment

The first meeting with Bristol Estate residents has taken place and a walk around the estate is now planned to look at suitable spaces to start the project. The plan is to start small and scale up, so our next job is identifying some initial plots to develop.

We need your help. Please let us know areas near your block that you consider suitable or particularly unsuitable for planting. We know many residents are keen to see new trees and foliage across the estate but we also know some are concerned about keeping sea views clear. Working together we can identify the most suitable areas, planting will need to take place before March 2021.
