FOOD DELIVERY
About this role:
Over the Covid 19 period our food delivery volunteers provide one of the most vital roles. Safely delivering hot food and food parcels to vulnerable and isolating residents on the estate.
Food delivery volunteers collect prepared parcels and hot food containers from the community hub and safely deliver the item to the resident who has placed the order. Deliveries are made on foot, by bike and car. We are unable to provide vehicles.

FOOD HUB CHEF
About this role:
Volunteer chefs have stepped in to meet the needs of vulnerable and isolating residents on the estate by preparing hot food from donated food and a stock of basic kitchen ingredients They provide a remarkable service to the community

FOOD PREP ASSISTANT
About this role:
Over the Covid 19 period, Food preparation assistants have been the backbone of the kitchen. Volunteers work with chefs in their own safe distanced space helping prepare food, for example peeling & dicing vegetables for the daily menu.
SUGGESTED ATTRIBUTES: professional cooking, catering, and kitchen experience is helpful but training is available. Adherence to food hygiene and preparation particularly applying Covid 19 guidance Ability to work to tight deadlines,

ADMIN TEAM
About this role:
The Office Admin role is at the heart of the Bristol Estate Community hub and is the key contact. The office admin collects post, responds to messages, answers emails, provides office support for activities and events taking place at the community hub

SUGGESTED VOLUNTEER TIME: 1-2 days per week.

COMMUNITY BLOCK REP
Block Rep positions are open to Bristol Estate residents only. There are 33 blocks and 1000 people living on the estate. We are looking for 2 Reps from each block to attend 3 association meetings per year.
Block Reps work to impartially represent the views and interests of everyone living in their block.
Block reps feed in and can choose to organise events and activities bringing local people together. Block Rep feedback helps us deal with challenges residents may be facing, including housing issues such as repairs and maintenance, or other community concerns such as the environment or crime.
SUGGESTED ATTRIBUTES: calm, diplomatic, easy to approach, respectful, cooperative
SUGGESTED VOLUNTEER TIME: Up to 10 days per year
Must be available to attend 3 meetings per year. Training and support are available

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
About this role:
Our cleaning & maintenance volunteers are key to everything we do. They ensure activities can take place by thoroughly cleaning and preparing the community hub so food donations, cooking and packing meals can take place. They report maintenance issues and raise restocking requests.

COMMUNICATION & MARKETING
About this role:
Our communications & marketing volunteer helps with communicating and distributing digital and print information across all channels from email groups, newsletters and social platforms to noticeboards, block foyers and direct to flats
